 DFDS A/S is a Danish shipping company. It is one of the world's largest ferry operators. DFDS was formed in 1866 as a merger of various minor shipping companies under the leadership of industrialist Carl Frederik Tietgen. DFDS Seaways is the passenger-carrying division of DFDS A/S. It operates five cruise-ferries on routes connecting Denmark to Norway, and the United Kingdom to the Netherlands, Denmark and United Kingdom. The ships are offering mini-cruises and transport between the ports of Copenhagen and Oslo, Amsterdam and Newcastle, Esbjerg and Norwich. DFDS Seaways current fleet includes MS Crown of Scandinavia, MS Pearl of Scandinavia, MS King of Scandinavia, MS Princess of Norway and MS Dana Sirena. All ships are registered in Denmark.
